Taipei-born rapper 潘PAN, formerly known as Aristophanes, returns with a bold new identity and sound after her early career, including a notable feature on Grimes’ 2015 Art Angels and her debut mixtape Humans Become Machines. Signed to Transgressive, she re-released her mixtape and followed with Reborn and Ghosts EPs this year.
Her music blends metallic, industrial beats with traditional Asian influences and spacious soundscapes, featuring vocals in Mandarin and English—“like featuring another artist” to express layered ideas. 潘PAN’s work explores confident sexuality, tenderness, empathy, and feminine strength, aiming to create a safe space for listeners.
