JARV IS… created the original soundtrack for the acclaimed BBC series This Is Going to Hurt, based on Adam Kay’s memoir. Recorded mostly live at Narcissus Studios in 2021, the music features songs and instrumentals composed mainly by Jarvis Cocker and Serafina Steer. Cocker’s lyrics, inspired by early script access, reflect a heartfelt tribute to the NHS. The soundtrack deeply complements the show’s emotional core, praised by lead director Lucy Forbes for its wit, melody, and connection to the NHS experience.
