Originally released in 2006, Suffer No Guilt is the second album from Indiana doom metal legends The Gates of Slumber. Blending high fantasy themes with crushing riffs, classic doom, and epic heavy metal influences inspired by Manilla Road, it stands as one of the band's defining releases.
Formed by Karl Simon in 1998, The Gates of Slumber earned a reputation as one of modern doom metal's most authentic and uncompromising bands, touring alongside acts including Pentagram, Reverend Bizarre, Cathedral, and Weedeater. Following the band's reformation in 2019, they returned with a self-titled album on Svart Records in 2024.
