In the Absence of Truth, the band’s 2006 release remastered by James Plotkin, builds on their previous album Panopticon, further exploring Aaron Turner’s clean vocals while retaining his signature screams and growls. Musically, the record is expansive and dynamic, spanning ethereal ambience to tribal-like drumming, and at nearly 65 minutes, it stands as ISIS’s longest album.
Though the band has been inactive for over a decade, their influence on metal endures, and they remain one of Ipecac Recordings’s top-selling artists.
