Acid Jazz and sister labels OST and Miles Away have compiled a standout collection of rare vintage soul and funk tracks, many previously limited-run and now collectors' items. Featuring Northern soul gems like The Tom’s “When You Lose Your Grove,” Tony and Tandy’s “Two Can Make It Together,” and The Patterson Twins’ “Gonna Find A True Love,” alongside disco-funk classics such as Family Tree’s “Family Tree” and Rita Joyce’s “Dancin’ Close.” The set also includes Lamont Butler’s gospel-inspired “Ungodly War,” Delores Fuller’s “One More Chance Lord,” yacht rock rarity Rick Hickman’s “Time Is Long,” and the Fantastics’ smooth “We Got Good Lovin.” Beautifully packaged, this is the first release in Acid Jazz’s ongoing series.
