This LP features sixteen rare, early BBC Sessions from The Hollies, including a newly discovered 1963 recording with original drummer Don Rathbone. Showcasing the evolution to Bobby Elliot’s dynamic drumming in 1964, the tracks capture live performances with tight Everly Brothers-style harmonies by Graham Nash and Allan Clarke, and Tony Hicks’ skilful guitar work. From mid-’65, improved BBC equipment added vocal overdubs and reverb on songs like Stay and I’m Alive. Enhanced by AI to remove DJ talkovers, the album also includes a stereo version of Yes I Will with exceptional sound quality.
