The Beatles played two shows at Montréal Forum on 8 September 1964, with a matinee, an evening performance, and a CBC press conference held on the Forum stage in between. Amid reports of a threat against Ringo Starr, the band left the city immediately after the evening show, flying overnight to Key West before continuing their US tour. These historically important recordings, sourced from AM radio, are necessarily lo-fi, with vocal distortion, and the broadcast fades out during A Hard Day’s Night, omitting the final two songs, I Want To Hold Your Hand and Long Tall Sally.
