Written and recorded with Dave Okumu and Afrobeat legend Tony Allen shortly before his passing, The Solution Is Restless emerged from a night of improvised sessions in Paris. Joan Wasser shaped those recordings into a bold, reflective album during lockdown. Its fiery lead single, “Take Me To Your Leader,” was inspired by Jacinda Ardern’s leadership in 2020 and imagines a world seeking wisdom in chaos.
