Curve were a London-based alternative rock and electronic duo (Toni Halliday and Dean Garcia) active from 1990–2005. Halliday wrote the lyrics while both contributed to songwriting, often collaborating with producer Alan Moulder to create their signature mix of heavy beats, layered guitars, and ethereal vocals.
After their debut Doppelgänger nearly reached the UK Top 10, Curve explored a darker, moodier sound on 1993’s Cuckoo. Opener “Missing Link” is aggressive and industrial-leaning, while tracks like “Superblaster” retain pop sensibilities. Halliday has called Cuckoo the band’s best work.
