Recorded in Berlin and remotely between 2020-2021, Fire Doesn’t Grow On Trees is the 19th studio album from Newcombe and his band, marking an exciting new phase. Joined by Ricky Maymi, Ryan Carlson Van Kriedt, Hakon Adalsteinsson, Hallberg Daði Hallbergsson, and Uri Rennert, the album blends Newcombe’s early psychedelic Rolling Stones influences with 90s UK shoegaze and world music, especially Middle Eastern and Brazilian sounds.
