Different Game is the long-awaited follow-up to The Zombies' 2015 album Still Got That Hunger. Begun in 2019 after their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, it was delayed by the pandemic because the band insisted on recording together live in the studio, just like in the 1960s. The album blends their vintage 60s sound with modern touches, showcasing their growth as musicians. Rod Argent wrote 9 of the 10 tracks, produced the album, and arranged strings on some songs, while Colin Blunstone wrote the closing track.
