The Psycheground Group long remained a mystery, known only for their obscure 1970 LP with its red cover and bandana-clad face. Recently it was revealed that the album, Psychedelic and Underground Music, was actually recorded by members of Nuova Idea before their 1971 debut. Mostly instrumental, it blends British-tinged R&B, pop, and psychedelia—so convincingly that it was once assumed to be an English release. A coveted cult classic worth thousands in its original pressing, it now returns in a faithful reissue.
