Before releasing solo work, Omar always checked with Cedric to see if it fit Mars Volta’s vision. After Octahedron, Cedric noticed a batch of tracks Omar recorded with drummer Deantoni Parks, whose dynamic, unpredictable style had made him a key creative partner.
