Facelift France and Holland captures Soft Machine in early 1970 during a brief yet pivotal phase as a jazz-rock quintet, just before the release of their landmark album Third. Featuring rare footage from their Paris concert on French TV’s Pop 2, it showcases the only known video of this lineup and unique performances of “Facelift” and “Out-Bloody-Rageous” with Lyn Dobson. The set also includes a previously unreleased live recording from Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw.
