Pink Floyd’s first concert in Japan at the 1971 Hakone Aphrodite festival is released in a special 2-disc set featuring the Atom Heart Mother album on CD and newly discovered 16mm Blu-ray footage of their performance. Originally a Japan-only release in 2021, the package includes rare memorabilia like a photo book, concert ticket, poster, and flier. The restored video showcases the 16-minute Atom Heart Mother suite—the only surviving footage from the event—captured and preserved after being found in a fan’s garage. Alongside the live set, the Blu-ray also features behind-the-scenes moments of the band’s journey through Japan, including airport arrivals, press events, and scenic views, offering a unique glimpse of this historic festival, Japan’s first major international outdoor rock event.
