Gong’s third Virgin Records album, You—the final part of the Radio Gnome Invisible trilogy—has been newly remastered from the original tapes by producer Simon Heyworth. This expanded edition adds a 1974 Hyde Park concert, an alternate version of “A PHP’s Advice,” and a rare take of “Where Have All the Flowers Gone?”
Recorded in late 1973, You is widely considered Gong’s most sophisticated, best-produced album, blending jazz-tinged space-rock, psychedelia, and their trademark eccentricity. Highlights include the chant-to-frenzy live favourite “Master Builder” and the synth-driven epic “A Sprinkling of Clouds.”
