Before his passing in 2015, Gong founder Daevid Allen envisioned the band as uplifting and exploratory. His chosen lineup—Kavus Torabi, Fabio Golfetti, Ian East, Dave Sturt, and Cheb Nettles—carries on this vision. Pulsing Signals, recorded live during their 2019 tour, captures the band in spirited form before the pandemic halted live music. Due to fan demand and travel restrictions, bassist Dave Sturt curated the best performances from multitrack recordings for this live album.
