Originally released in 2000, My Favourite Headache is the only solo album by Rush bassist Geddy Lee. Lee described the project as something he stumbled into, having no strong desire for solo work or extra attention, since Rush already fulfills his musical ambitions. Curious about collaborating outside the band, he explored new experiences. Lee wrote the lyrics by capturing thoughts and memories throughout the day, then revisiting and shaping them later into songs based on his feelings.
