Bruce Soord, founding member of The Pineapple Thief, delivers his most personal solo work yet with Ghosts In The Park — a reflective album shaped by grief, memory, and life on the road. Written during extensive touring, the record was influenced by the loss of his father and his mother’s ongoing battle with Alzheimer’s.
Built around raw acoustic guitar recordings captured in hotel rooms and blended with studio sessions, the album balances fragility with restraint. Songs like Concepcion, Meet Me On The Downs, and the title track draw inspiration from places including Chile, Hamburg, and Oberhausen, creating an intimate collection rooted in solitude, reflection, and emotional honesty.
