Released in January 1976, Station to Station—David Bowie’s tenth album—bridged the soulful Young Americans era and the experimental Berlin period that began with Low. Its lead single, “Golden Years,” became a transatlantic hit, one of five singles drawn from the six-track record.
For its 50th anniversary, the album returns as a limited-edition picture disc pressed from the original master, complete with a replica of the original promo poster. This half-speed master was recut on a Neumann VMS80 lathe from 192kHz restored tapes with no added processing, offering the closest presentation of the album’s original sound.
