Released: 31/10/25
Beggars Banquet is happy to release an expanded edition of Buffalo Tom’s fifth album Sleepy Eyed, celebrating it’s 30th Anniversary this year.
Sleepy Eyed reissue out October 31 on 2XLP/CD includes six unearthed demos, featuring unheard tracks “Hold Me Up” and “Don’t Blow Your Wind” and early versions of classics like “Tangerine,” “Summer,” “Kitchen Door,” and “Clobbered.” The package also includes refreshed artwork, new photos, ephemera, and liner notes from the band and producer John Agnello.
Originally released in 1995, Sleepy Eyed marked a move from the polished sound of Big Red Letter Day to a raw, live-in-the-room approach, recorded at Dreamland Studio in upstate New York. Fan favorites like “Tangerine,” “Summer,” and “Kitchen Door” showcase Buffalo Tom’s signature harmonies, timeless songwriting, and guitar-driven energy.
Formed at UMass Amherst in 1986, Buffalo Tom (Bill Janovitz, Chris Colbourn, Tom Maginnis) have sustained nearly 40 years and 10 albums of creative collaboration.
