Aphex Twin, one of electronic music’s most influential artists, saw his early R&S Records releases collected on the 1995 compilation Classics. In 2025, the album is reissued on vinyl and CD with new mastering by Beau Thomas and a sticker sheet featuring artwork from the Digeridoo and Xylem Tube EPs.
Originally released in 1992, Digeridoo reached #55 in the UK charts and became a defining Aphex track, alongside EP cuts like Flap Head and Isopropanol. This release cemented his partnership with R&S, who also issued Xylem Tube and Selected Ambient Works 85–92 the same year.
Classics also features Digeridoo, Xylem Tube, Analogue Bubblebath 1, Metapharstic, two remixes of Mescalinum United’s We Have Arrived, and Digeridoo (Live in Cornwall, 1990).
