Ulrika Spacek’s art is rooted in collectivity, an act of resistance in an increasingly individualistic world. From their long-running Oysterland nights and Syd’s Total Refreshment Centre studio to collaborations with artists such as Crack Cloud, caroline and Slowdive, the band’s identity is inseparable from community. Their fourth album, EXPO, channels this shared ethos through off-kilter melodies, jagged guitars and hazy atmospherics, offering a communal, dreamlike antidote to isolation.
