The Complete Singles 1982–85 and More collects The March Violets’ full ‘80s indie repertoire, including chart-toppers like "Snake Dance," "Deep," and "Walk into the Sun" (7” versions available for the first time since the ’80s), plus three 21st-century tracks. Emerging from Leeds alongside Sisters of Mercy, the band released six influential singles and gained indie chart success but never recorded a full studio album in the ’80s—only compilations. After signing with a major label and appearing in the 1987 film Some Kind of Wonderful, they split over creative differences. This collection showcases their evolution with vocalists Simon Denbigh, Rosie Garland, and Cleo Murray, backed by Lawrence Elliot and Tom Ashton.
