To mark its 40th anniversary, The Jesus and Mary Chain’s debut single Upside Down is reissued on 7” vinyl with original artwork variations. First released in 1984, the single sold 50,000 copies, launched the band’s career, and became an early hit for Creation Records. The B-side features their celebrated cover of Syd Barrett’s “Vegetable Man.” Topping the UK Indie Chart twice and staying for 76 weeks, it remains one of the ‘80s biggest indie singles.
