In 1980-81, The Damned recorded The Black Album, Friday 13th EP, and Strawberries at Rockfield Studios, creating some of their most iconic work. In 2019, the band returned to Rockfield—featuring original members David Vanian, Captain Sensible, Paul Gray, along with Monty Oxymoron and drummer Pinch for his final recordings with the band. Produced and mixed by Tom Dalgety, this marked a new chapter in their legendary legacy.
