Originally recorded in 1986 as a follow-up to Love, Peace was shelved after The Cult felt it sounded too polished. Inspired by the raw energy of Run-D.M.C., they teamed up with Rick Rubin to re-record the album, which became the hit record Electric. Though some Peace tracks appeared as B-sides or on The Manor Sessions, the full album remained largely unreleased until its inclusion in 2000’s sold-out Rare Cult box. Peace is now finally available in full once again.
