King of America, Elvis Costello’s tenth album, was released on 21 February 1986 and co-produced with T Bone Burnett after their tours as the "Coward Brothers." A shift into blues and Americana, it stands among Costello’s finest work.
The 6CD - King of America and Other Realms set features a 2024 remaster, solo demos (including six unreleased Red Bus Sessions), a previously unheard 1987 London concert, and three compilation discs of rare studio recordings, outtakes, and live tracks. It includes a 35-page essay by Costello and rare photos.
The 2CD edition includes the 2024 remaster and a curated disc of rarities. The LP edition features the new 2024 remaster from the original tapes.
