Copenhagen-based songwriter and producer Erika de Casier returns with her second album, Sensational, featuring singles like ‘No Butterflies, No Nothing’ and ‘Drama.’ Building on her 2019 debut Essentials, which explored early love, Sensational challenges dating stereotypes and relationship toxicity with an empowering, attitude-driven sound. Co-produced by de Casier, the album blends influences from Aaliyah and Janet Jackson with house, garage, and techno, combining soft vocals with nostalgic yet forward-looking production.
Born in Portugal to Belgian and Cape Verdean parents and raised in Denmark, de Casier first gained attention with the Regelbau collective before independently releasing Essentials, which earned acclaim on multiple 2019 best-of lists for its fresh take on 90s/00s R&B.
