Dr. Dre’s third album, Compton, was born after he scrapped a decade of work on Detox, inspired by seeing his younger self portrayed in the Straight Outta Compton biopic. The result is a reflective, cinematic album steeped in nostalgia for his NWA roots, culminating in a tribute to late bandmate Eazy-E. Despite his billionaire status at 50, Dre insists he's unchanged from his early days, echoing his signature attitude throughout. Compton features a star-studded lineup, including Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and rising talent King Mez, who co-wrote most of the album’s tracks.
