Craig Finn returns with Always Been, his first solo album since 2022, produced by his long-time friend Adam Granduciel of The War on Drugs. Recorded in 2024, the album features guest vocals from Kathleen Edwards and Sam Fender, and is a direct, purposeful work. With a narrative focused on a man who becomes a clergyman despite lacking faith, the album explores his rise, fall, and redemption. Finn’s sixth solo record continues his prolific storytelling, building on the success of his previous release A Legacy of Rentals.
