In 1971, Guru Guru had released two albums, UFO (1970) and Hinten (1971). On September 21, they performed in Bremen with Mani Neumeier, Uli Trepte, and Ax Genrich. The concert, recorded by Radio Bremen and engineered by Conny Plank, featured three long, improvisational tracks including "LSD Marsch," "Bo Diddley," and "Space Ship." The recording showcased the band’s evolution into a more cohesive blend of rock, jazz, funk, African rhythms, and psychedelia, praised as a masterpiece capturing their refined sound.
