Carlton Melton, a psychedelic rock band from Northern California, have evolved into a four-piece with the addition of Anthony Taibi (of White Manna and DDT), joining Rich Millman, Andy Duvall, and Clint Golden. Recorded in July 2021 at Taibi’s 3D Light studio in Freshwater, CA, their album Resemble Ensemble captures their expanded sound—melding krautrock, psych-drone, and experimental jams. Tracks like "Prescribed Skies" and "Elsewhere" channel cosmic raga and warm, Spacemen 3-style drones, while "So The Story Grows" and "High Alert" dive into noise, feedback, and warped synth-funk grooves. The album closes with "Route Thirteen," a trippy comedown after a synapse-twisting journey. Starting 2023, Carlton Melton ride high on their sonic magick carpet.
