The recordings span several years and locations, including New York’s avant-garde Squat Theater, where Sun Ra’s Arkestra performed frequently between 1979-1982. Some tracks also come from 1984 Paris concerts captured for the documentary Mystery, Mr. Ra, though those recordings were never officially released.
