Limited to 1,000 copies, this AAA mastered vinyl reissue is cut directly from the original mono analog tapes by Kevin Gray and pressed on 180g vinyl at Pallas, housed in a deluxe reverse-board jacket. Featuring Dorham’s first public vocal performances and the recording debut of pianist Cedar Walton, the album showcases Dorham’s stellar trumpet alongside Curtis Fuller, Sam Jones, and drummers Charlie Persip and G.T. Hogan. Recorded in 1958 at Reeves Sound Studio, it’s a rare gem in jazz history, now presented with pristine sound quality.
