To celebrate Blue Train’s 65th anniversary, Blue Note releases two special Tone Poet vinyl editions: a 1-LP mono pressing in a deluxe gatefold, and a 2-LP stereo set, Blue Train: The Complete Masters, featuring seven previously unreleased alternate takes. The latter includes a booklet with rare photos and an essay, and is also available as a 2-CD set. Mastered from original tapes and pressed on 180g vinyl, these editions are hailed as definitive versions of Coltrane’s masterpiece.
