This collection features some of John Coltrane’s best work as a sideman, collaborating with jazz legends like Miles Davis, Thelonious Monk, Sonny Rollins, and more. It focuses on his 1956–57 recordings for Prestige, Riverside, and Jazzland, including a standout solo on Davis’s 1961 track "Someday My Prince Will Come." The 2-LP vinyl edition adds two bonus tracks not on the CD: "Nutty" and "Birks' Works."
