In 2019, Stephen Steinbrink was inspired by a short YouTube video of a street magician vanishing a coin, leaving a teen amazed. This clip sparked his new album Disappearing Coin, reflecting on teenage unease, possibility, and wonder. Steinbrink relates to the boy, the coin, and the magician as symbols of moving between reality and magic, guiding the album’s exploration of that feeling.
