Metric’s eighth album, Formentera, named after a dreamy Spanish island, was created in a rural studio north of Toronto. The vinyl’s motto, “This Is What Happened,” reflects the band’s recent years. Known for their genre-defying sound, Emily Haines, Jimmy Shaw, Joshua Winstead, and Joules Scott Key continue to evolve since forming in 2001.
