On Describe, Hannah Jadagu builds on the acclaim of her 2023 debut Aperture, exploring distance, connection, and self-discovery. Written amid separation from her life in New York, the album captures the push and pull between closeness and independence, told through emotionally precise lyrics and a richer sonic palette.
Relocating to California, Jadagu experimented with analog synths and drum machines, moving beyond her guitar-driven sound. Working with producer Sora Lopez in Altadena and Max Baby in Paris, she crafted an album that feels both intimate and expansive.
Closing track “Bergamont” distills the album’s themes of honesty and growth: a search for truth expressed through layered synths and candid vocals. Describe is Jadagu’s boldest statement yet—warm, exploratory, and deeply human.
