Volume V marks Other Lives’ return after five years, following For Your Love—an album sidelined by the pandemic. Their fifth record expands the band’s cinematic Americana into grander, more orchestral territory across eight songs and two instrumentals, showcasing renewed ambition and emotional depth.
Recorded in The Sheerar, a former church in Stillwater, its cathedral-like acoustics amplify the album’s sweeping, Morricone-inspired sound. Frontman Jesse Tabish calls Volume V the start of Other Lives’ “second act,” promising a quicker follow-up and a prolific new phase for the band.
