The Folk Implosion’s beloved 1994 debut album returns on LP after years out of print. Moving beyond their early acoustic sketches, the duo crafted this eccentric home-recorded album using cheap mics and a Tascam 4-track in a Cambridge apartment, carefully working around a neighbour's schedule. They later mixed the tracks at Fort Apache Studios with Tim O’Heir (Sebadoh’s producer), blending lo-fi charm with hi-fi polish. Influenced by The Troggs, Devo, Al Green, and The Bee Gees, this cult classic remains a cherished underground gem nearly 30 years on.
