Liverpool’s MELODIEN returns with their fifth LP, Monad, on Polytechnic Youth. Harry Sumnall’s Kraut-inspired project blends authentic Germanic Kosmische sounds with influences from artists like Suzanne Doucet and Jonathan Fitoussi. Monad is a meditation on time and harmony, featuring lush synths, live bass, and rhythmic grooves that range from Kosmische new age to lysergic disco. The album includes original artwork by Fernando Manfrini and is limited to 300 copies.
