Released in May 1977, Lights Out became UFO’s biggest album, reaching No. 23 in the US. With Michael Schenker’s guitar prowess at its peak and new member Paul Raymond joining, the band hit a creative high under producer Ron Nevison. Highlights include the politically charged title track, inspired by the 1976 Notting Hill Riots, and the epic closer “Love to Love,” hailed by Iron Maiden’s Steve Harris as his favourite song.
