Seattle’s rise to rock fame in the late ’80s began with Green River, featuring members who later formed Pearl Jam and Mudhoney. Formed in 1984, their sound blended blues, punk, and rock, influencing the evolving Seattle scene. Their 1987 mini-LP Dry As A Bone and 1988 album Rehab Doll showcase furious energy and growing musical depth. Now reissued with rare bonus tracks and lost recordings, these releases capture the band’s raw live sound and pivotal role in shaping mid-’80s rock as punk evolved into new styles.
