The album moves from the bold, horn-driven title track and sweet “China Sea” to stripped-down gems like “Cable Hogue” and the punky Modern Lovers cover “Pablo Picasso.” Controversial “Leaving It All Up To You” was later removed for its Manson references, while the haunting “I Keep A Close Watch” adds a rare power ballad beauty amid the album’s jagged edges.
