Sunroof (Daniel Miller & Gareth Jones) return with Electronic Music Improvisations Volume 3, a collection of nine modular synth improvisations released via Mute’s Parallel Series. Building on their 2021 debut, the album continues their experimental approach, recorded entirely with Eurorack systems. Highlights include “Splendid,” created using Miller’s original 4-track TEAC recorder from the late '70s, a nod to his early work on “Warm Leatherette.” Longtime collaborators, Miller and Jones (known for work with Depeche Mode, Erasure, and more) prioritize sonic exploration over nostalgia in this latest immersive release.
