This split LP from Polytechnic Youth features synth maestro Gabe Knox and UK analog enthusiast Pulselovers (aka Pulsliebhaber). Knox's side compiles three rare gems—including the RSD favorite “Student Disco ’81”—blending synthpop charm with Krautrock edge. Also featured are “Carbon Bubble” and the spacey, melodic “Cosmic Debris,” appearing on vinyl for the first time.
Pulselovers’ side captures raw spontaneity, with seven tracks written and recorded quickly using minimal computer input. Each piece—often laid down in under an hour—embraces lo-fi immediacy, polished only slightly in mastering for release.
