Yawning Abyss is the new album from Wrangler, blending vintage synths (Roland, Moog, the “Crystal Machine”) with John Grant’s vocals, recorded partly in Iceland. Unlike the darker, voice-manipulated Mr Dynamite, this record leans into a more upbeat and direct sound, full of playful experimentation and unexpected warmth.
