In 1992, KRS-One released Sex and Violence, the final album under the Boogie Down Productions name. The album explores the darker sides of urban life, with KRS-One narrating social issues. Singles like "Duck Down" and "We In There" gained attention, but deeper tracks like "Drug Dealer," "Ruff Ruff" (featuring Freddie Foxxx), and "How Not To Get Jerked" showcased the album’s depth. The album opens with a skit about KRS-One panicking over vinyl, a format at the time in decline. Now, Sex and Violence returns to vinyl in a colored edition, featuring the iconic album art by Robert Williams and full lyrics in a gatefold jacket.
